Company Description: Job Description: Community 1st Credit Union is seeking a full-time Real Estate Loan Specialist to work in our headquarters located in DuPont, WA. The position requires a minimum of two years mortgage loan and servicing experience with a strong knowledge of document preparation, closing and disbursement of loans as well as knowledge of Freddie Mac and VA products. The Real Estate Loan Specialist must be detail oriented, proactive and dependable, and will be responsible for evaluating applications, appraisals and title insurance reports in order to determine the member s eligibility for a real estate loan. Job responsibilities will include: Provide real estate loan product information, answer questions and deliver loan service to internal staff in a friendly and professional manner. Responsible for all processes and procedures relating to Real Estate/Mortgage applications from submission to closing, disbursal of funds, to both internal and secondary market loans. Responsible for the sale, delivery and monthly reporting of secondary market loans. Comply with all required timelines and compliance issues regarding departmental operations and workflow. Perform necessary procedures in servicing of escrow accounts. (i.e., yearly escrow evaluations, real estate taxes, PMI and Homeowners insurance) Submit requested and required reports to senior management in a timely manner. Interact with all third party vendors in a professional and courteous manner. Ensure that all vendor invoices are accurate and remunerations are prompt. Monitor all real estate/mortgage lending related promotions and key areas on an ongoing basis. Maintain communication with Marketing and frontline staff in order to provide an up-to-date status on all key areas and promotions to Senior Management. Monitor all control areas and documentation to ensure compliance with all mandated rules and regulations that affects the lending area. Responsible for quality, quantity, accuracy and timeliness of all work produced by the areas under their supervision. Constantly look for and recommend modifications and improvements to the current products and services offered by the real estate/mortgage lending department. Ensure that written procedures exist for all functions within their area of responsibility and provide updates as necessary Perform additional duties as may be assigned.
